Day Trip to Resort World Sentosa - Universal Studio Singapore

Last week Wednesday, 27th March 2013 I went for a day trip to Universal Studios Singapore ; Resort World Sentosa with my beloved family.
We went there for a day trip only since my parents said the rate of hotel in Resort World Sentosa is very expensive during the school holiday term. I don't mind as long as I can step into Universal Studio Singapore after so long. I remembered that I went there once when the construction of Sentosa just began few years back.
The journey from Johore to Singapore took about 1-2 hour because of the immigration. We need to fill up a white form that enable us to enter Singapore and of course get a chop in our passport.
Finally its here!

(The symbol icon of Universal Studios Singapore! ; Everyone that come here will definitely take a picture in front of this globe)

The price of the ticket that we bought that day is 74 $ for Adult and 54 $ for Adult for A day pass~

( This is the ticket that we got that day)

Upon walking into the Universal Studios Singapore, we took few pictures at the first section of the USS which is known as Hollywood. Entering this zone just make me feels like being in Hollywood. The design is  filled with a lot of neon lights looking extremely beautiful.
I promise myself that I must go to Hollywood in the future! Life is extremely short and we must enjoy our life to the fullest.
One of the best attraction in USS that we all must definitely try is the Battlestar Galactica : HUMAN VS CYLON !!!
I find that this is one of the roller coaster that I had ever sit in my life (currently). Haha :P

(Battlestar Galactica : HUMAN VS CYLON)

Upon trying the 2 roller coaster, I feel that CYLON is better compare to HUMAN.
CYLON is a suspended roller coaster that goes up, around and upside down with an intense corkscrew and a cobra roll while HUMAN is a roller coaster that zooming at the speed of 82.8 km/h and it narrowly avoids collisions as it twists, turns and propels you over the 14 storeys in the air.
I can feel that there a lot of people eyeing on the coaster! HAHAHAHA... I feel like I am a SUPERMAN ^.^

Another main attraction in Sci-Fi City is the TRANSFORMERS THE RIDE: The Ultimate 3D Battle.
Upon lining up the attraction, I saw Bumblebee just finish it's photography session -.- ! I am so sad because I missed out that moment
We experienced a short delay while waiting for the ride.

After we are done with all the important attractions in Sci-Fic City, we move on to the Ancient Egypt Zone.
The attraction that you definitely cannot missed out here is : Revenge of the Mummy! Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor high speed roller coaster. We can see huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies and everywhere is just totally DARK!

(Revenge of the Mummy; an indoor roller coaster located in the Ancient Egypt Zone)

Next zone is the famous : The Lost World. The Lost World is divided into two themed areas which is Jurassic Park and the Water World. When it comes to Jurassic Park, the first thing that come to my mind is Dinosaurs :P
We lined up patiently for the best attraction in Jurassic Park : Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. The queue takes around 20 minutes. Gently reminder when you are riding this, please do prepare a disposable rain coat as you are definitely going to get wet during this ride. My father who choose to ignore this reminder got wet in the end. Its not a simple wet! He was wetly soaked after riding this.

Another main attraction in The Lost World is the Water World. This zone is based on the blockbuster film; Water World. Hahahahaha... I feel that I am totally immersed in the movie. Some of the viewers got wet. The main characters is extremely handsome and pretty hahahaha... The live action is brilliant. Will definitely recommend this live show :)

Time is passing by very fast. Its already 4 pm when we move on to the next zone: Far Far Away. Far Far Away is all about the lifestyle of the rich and fairy tale movie : Shrek~~~

(Shrek and Princess Fiona Castle in Far Far Away Land)

By seeing this castle, it remind me of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland hahaha...
We lined up for the 4-D show : Shrek 4-D Adventure
This show is all about Shrek saving Princess Fiona. I like this film very much. The 4-D effect is nice and overall the show was awesome. I will give it 4 star out of 5 star. The only thing that I don't like during the show is when they splash water towards the audience! Haha. I got enough of water from all the attractions in USS for the day.

The last zone that we went for the day before going back is Madagascar~~~

When it comes to Madagascar, I will think of Alex (the Lion), Marty, Melman and Gloria ( the Cute Hippo) hahahahaha... We only went to an attraction called: A Crate Adventure as time is pretty limited. The park is closed at 7pm and its already 5pm when we went to Madagascar zone.  The river boat ride is nice with the song: I Like to Movie it~ hahahaha... You will like this once you are pretty tired because its an indoor ride with air cond inside.

Before exiting the park, we went back to Hollywood zone and spent some final shopping at Universal Studio Store before finishing our day trip at Universal Studios Singapore.
I loved all their merchandise there and the price is not cheap but definitely worth it since we won't be able to come again in a short time.
After wandering around the souvenir shop for some time, I bought a luggage lag, a key chain, a neck strap and few t-shirts. I loved all my souvenirs very much! Tq mama for the great souvenirs :)

Overall, the trip to Universal Studios Singapore was an unforgettable trip and I hope that I will get a chance to visit Universal Studios again in the future! :)
Love From Peggy~ Thats all from me hahahaha...

Family Vacation to Malaysia's 1st International Theme Park - Legoland

Recently, I had a short vacation with my family members. We went to Malaysia's 1st International Theme Park - LEGOLAND

Legoland is an international theme park located in Nusajaya, Johor Malaysia. The trip to Johore from Kuala Lumpur took about 5 hours included a stop for lunch at Muar Johor for their famous otak-otak and fish ball noodles.
Malaysia Legoland is the first Legoland theme park opened in Asia. I can see that the areas surrounding Legoland is a newly developed area and there are many more coming soon in the future including the LEGOLAND Water Park and the LEGOLAND hotel.

There are seven themed areas of attraction for all ages such as The Beginning, LEGO Technic, LEGO Kingdoms, Imagination, LEGO City, Land of Adventure and MINILAND.
One of the best ride in LEGOLAND is the Dragon Roller Coaster and the Dragon Apprentice Coaster located in the LEGO Kingdoms!

The amazing part of Legoland is that all the miniatures and landscapes are build mainly by using LEGO bricks. You can see millions of LEGO bricks in this land. Even their train and roller coaster are LEGO orientated.

The Entrance Fee are as below:

Adult
  • Day Ticket: RM 105 Purchase online (7-Days Advance Booking)
  • Day Ticket: RM 140 Regular price

Senior 60+ years old

  • Day Ticket: RM 110 Regular price
  • Annual Pass: RM 255

When I went that time, they are having a promotion for MYKAD holders. In the end, I received RM 20 food vouchers to be spend in LEGOLAND.

Mini reminder when you want to visit LEGOLAND@Malaysia.
  • The weather in LEGOLAND is extremly hot. Do prepare umbrella, caps, drinking water, sun block, handkerchief, wet tissues or even mini fan if you want to. PS: I stopped playing halfway because the weather is extremely hot and it just make people have no mood in playing although there are so much to see and explore!
  • Plan your vacation earlier and buy the tickets online! It is so much cheaper to get the pass online compare to get it at the ticket counter on the day itself.
  • The food in LEGOLAND is not cheap. If you are coming in such a big family, do fill up your stomach in the MEDINI mall located right outside of LEGOLAND. There are shops like Thai restaurant, Old Town, Burger King and etc.
As for the souvenir part, I visited THE BIG SHOP which is located near the Park's main entrance. A lot of largest selection of LEGO toy sets can be seen in this shop and also t-shirts, polo tees, sweatshirts, hand towel, bath towel, mugs, LEGO keychains, LEGO phone stripes, LEGO stationery sets, LEGO ice cream maker, shopping bag and many more.

In the end after wandering at THE BIG SHOP for some time, I bought one LEGOLAND Lanyard which I think is one of the best souvenir that I can get in LEGOLAND. I also got an ice cream maker for my little brother and two sets of mini lego bricks. The price of the souvenir in LEGOLAND is not cheap. Even a shirt in LEGOLAND can cost about RM 99.90. Do prepare enough cash if you plan to get some nice souvenir in LEGOLAND.

Overall, I find that LEGOLAND@Malaysia is worth for a visit. The landscape and miniatures is really nice in LEGOLAND. The only thing that made me pissed off is the hot weather. I wish that the weather is cool rather than hot. Do visit if you have a chance :)

Dear Bloggie,
Today I feel extremely strange
I have a strong desire to help the people in needs starting from today.
I hope that I can help any people in need. I want to contribute something to the society without asking anything in return.
I promise myself during my birthday, I will go and help the people in need specially the poor and homeless person living nearby the streets.
They are people like us too. They need a shelter to protect themselves. Thanks to NGO who are always helping them. I am so shock to find out that there are so many people which is homeless although they have a jobs and are wearing nice decent clothes. They normally get the clothes from foreign ambassadors. I shall start donating my unwanted clothes to the homeless people too. They need more than me.
We should contribute something to the society too.
This is what I am going to do starting from today till the rest of my life.

Right now, I am busy with the application for degree course. Its troublesome and complicated. I still have to settle with the transcript needed by the university. Some of my friends are not going to continue their studies and begin their work life soon. Wish them the best of luck and happiness. I can't believe we are all going to separate starting from September (after the convocation).
My small brother is going to sit for UPSR this year too. Wish him the best luck. I am going to tutor him for the last two months before the examination. I will help him everything that I could.
My parents are busy with their coffee shop everyday as usual as they need to gain as much experience in order to make the business smooth and profitable.

I met my best friends in University yesterday after separating for such a long time.
Glad that we were able to hang out and have a nice decent dinner and a long chat.

It was a nice dinner. I am glad that we can share all the experiences that we all have with each other. I am not going to forget all of you although I am graduating soon! :)
Will definitely have another outing soon. Have so much to catch up with you guys.

It is my dream to be able to travel around the world. I promise myself that I will do it once I finished my studies in 5 years time with a decent job and soon with my soul mate. I will buy a nice decent car that I like (Beetle of course ;p).
I want to go and explore the world and broaden my mind. I also hope that I can continue help people till the end of my life. Besides that, I also hope that everyone is living in a peace environment. No war~~~
This is everything that I want to my life and I am going to work for it.
World Peace.
Love from Peggy Chai ^.^
